Customer profile:

 Manton Michigan - 'Small Town... Big Heart'. A place where you can find year round recreational activities! Manton lies within 3 miles of both the Pere Marquette State Forest to the north and the Manistee National Forest to the southwest. The relatively rural area abounds with deer, small game, and waterfowl. The spring time offers morel mushrooms and fall gives beautiful colors to view.

Scope of work: 

Construct a new method for directing runoff from storm events while maintaining an ADA accessible sidewalk and allowing healthy growth for city trees. Porous Pave XL was the perfect fit due to the installation method of Porous Pave, being poured in place allowed the city to create a well designed maintenance strip and tree surround in one seamless installation.

The result: 

A visually pleasing pavement that checked all the boxes for the City of Manton. Porous Pave solved the problem of allowing rain water to percolate into the ground while maintaining the ADA accessibility of the sidewalk.
