Kyle Field has been the home to the Texas A&M Aggies football team in rudimentary form since 1904, and as a permanent concrete stadium since 1927. The seating capacity of 102,733 in 2021 makes it the largest in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the fourth-largest stadium in the NCAA, the fourth-largest stadium in the United States, and the largest in Texas.
Install 32,000 dq ft of Porous Pave XL in green color around the field to act as a surface that can handle the traffic the area would receive while also allowing all the water from the surrounding impermeable areas to properly drain. The surface was originally installed in 2015 and maintained in 2025.
Deco Crete, Inc installed Porous Pave using the stadium lighting at night due to the Texas heat. The Porous Pave portion of the work was completed quickly, the entire area has sub surface drainage to allow the area to absorb massive amounts of water and ensure it properly drains to the designated areas.
Once the project was completed the university was left with a surface that performs rain or shine. Porous Pave has excelled in the application for more than a decade, the surface has stood up to the largest ticketed concert in US history, hundreds of football games, and every other event the college has hosted in the stadium.
