This course originally designed in 1998 by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, was renovated by Fry/Straka in 2021. The Director of Grounds is Jason Harrison. The high flashed bunker faces were a perfect fit for using Sand Guard’s pour-in-place liner application. HFGC has served as the host of the Sybase Match Play Championship.

Scope of work:

Installation of Sand Guard Bunker Lining System on the Highlands Course as part of the bunker renovation project.

The install:

Project work took place with Guaranteed Landscapes during the fall of 2020 and spring of 2021 in time for the Club’s tournament schedule.

The result:

Our customer has noticed improvements of Sand Guard’s ability if keeping the bunker sand in place after storm events
